Monster Trucks

YESTERDAY: *

• head to a free lagree class with Simren!
  • they had a free acai event too
  • picked up some gas at Costco next door
  • class wasn’t too bad, and learned some moves!
• head to lunch at a brunch place close by
  • mini pancakes were super cute
• fun Costco run afterwards
  • picked up eggs, some steak, and kiwis
  • Jackie found one of the kiwis was moldy
  • got a replacement pretty easily
• head home for a quick nap and shower
• head to Deedee’s for dinner
  • didn’t realize we were doing ayce vegetarian indian food …
  • probably overdid it, but the potato cakes were delicious!
• realized that we forgot to celebrate Shubham’s birthday!
• head home
• bit of a stomachache
• watched project hail mary
  • relatively faithful to the book

TODAY:

• woke up early
• helped my Dad sort through some house insurance policies
• head to San Jose for Sara’s birthday brunch
  • second brunch in a row
  • chilaquiles were tasty!
  • not as spicy as what we made in Tahoe that one year …
• head to Artista to coordinate carpooling
  • took everybody to downtown San Jose in the minivan
• SAP center for a monster truck rally
  • nodded off a few times when nothing exciting was happening
  • FMX was pretty neat
  • the backflip that barely landed was awesome
  • a bit scary seeing two big crashes though
  • also the Gravedigger was driven by the youngest son this time
• drop everybody off
• head home
• took some steaks to Brian’s for dinner
  • sous vide took a while
• finished a scenario of frosthaven

LEARNINGS:

• Costco takes mold seriously
  • while I was checking for a decent replacement box, an employee came up
  • he basically tossed out every box on top and checked a bunch underneath
